About the Casual Outfit
I love the biker chic look because it is cool, sleek and comfortable. All you need are biker jacket and boots.
The skinny jeans were my favorite pair of casual pants before getting pregnant. Although they barely fit, their dark washed color goes so well with a biker jacket. I could not resist. Just wish I didn't look so tired that day. (Was up all night feeding again.)
Found the boots on clearance at DSW. Brand is Kenneth Cole. $65 was a fantastic price. They are a half size too big, but because of the price, I bought them anyway. To wear them comfortably, I improvised by putting on thick socks. However, now that my feet are still swollen from pregnancy, the boots actually fit perfectly.
About the Day
My husband loved Life of Pi, the book. When the movie (finally) came out, he hinted about seeing it one too many times for me to say no. Because the movie was also directed by Ang Lee (Broke Back Mountain, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), I had an interest in seeing it too.
Though hubby thinks the book is better -- that's always the case though -- I liked the movie still, and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely outfit! Thanks for your comment!

Irene :)
I'm thinking about seeing the film just because that Indian guy is that cute. ( I don't remember actor's names, I'm bad with names alltogether)
ReplyDeleteI really like you outfit. I myself am a biker chic wanna be. All I need is a bike. biker leather jacket- check. Jeans- check. Biker boots ( dr. martens could do). Yes, as I said I only need a bike:)
As for boots, I always buy a size bigger for winter so I can wear a few socks. I really don't know why I'm so cold phobic, the winters are mild where I'm from. Probably has to do with the fact that I walk all the time...Anyway, my comment is getting kind of too long so....
I really like this outfit!
love the top! and my friend was telling me about life of pi but i havent seen it yet! I totally want to. Just found your blog and I'm your newest GFC follower! Love how you do the whole cost thing. Really makes me cringe at some of my own expensive purchases haha...
